Birdeye alternative
Reputation and local marketing for multi-location businesses · What people are actually trying to solve, and whether moving is the right call.
Birdeye alternative searches tend to come from two places: a single-location business that bought a multi-location product, or a buyer who could not get a price without a sales process.
Why people go looking
- Quote-only pricing banded by location count, so cost cannot be compared without entering a sales conversation.
- The product is shaped for multi-location brands; a single-location service business is buying a model built for a different unit of business.
- Reviews live apart from the client record, so a bad review arrives without the project history attached to it.
- Reputation is one job among many for a service business, and a standalone contract for it is a hard line item to defend.
When you should stay with Birdeye
We would rather you stayed than switched and regretted it. These are the cases where Birdeye is the better answer:
- You run many locations. That is what the product is built for and the banding reflects genuine capability at scale.
- Review generation is the whole job. Birdeye asks for reviews and RSC does not - our reputation features monitor, they do not solicit. On this capability they are simply ahead of us.
- You need coverage across a very wide network of review sites; theirs is broader than anything RSC integrates with.
What Birdeye is genuinely good at
- Review collection and management across a very large network of sites - this is their core and it is the deepest in this comparison
- Listings management and local visibility for multi-location businesses
- Search AI integration across Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity is advertised on their pricing page
- Email and SMS marketing, webchat, surveys and sentiment analysis in one product
And what its users criticise
- Pricing is quote-only, so you cannot compare cost without entering a sales process
- Reputation lives separately from the client record, so the review conversation and the project history are in different systems
Read on 2026-09-03. These are observations about the product's SCOPE, taken from what the vendor advertises - not reports of it working badly. We have not audited third-party reviews for this vendor and imply nothing about them.
Before you move — a checklist
- Export your review history and response templates before the contract ends.
- Check the notice period - quote-only contracts often carry terms a self-serve subscription does not.
- Confirm who owns the listings claims that were made on your behalf.
- If review generation is genuinely core to your business, do not switch to RSC for that capability yet - it is not shipped.
How RSC Suite compares, capability by capability
| Capability | RSC Suite | Birdeye — what their own pages show |
|---|---|---|
| Client CRM + booking + invoicing + contracts and e-signature Partial. Contracts with signature capture, invoices and checkout are live in the CRM module (RSC Seal, row 983); booking depth is not separately proven against the capability registry, so this row is stated as partial rather than built. | ◐ Partial | — Not advertised Their advertised capabilities are reviews, listings, social, search AI, email and SMS marketing, reputation measurement, webchat, surveys and analytics. No project CRM, invoicing, contract or e-signature capability appears. We mark this from what the vendor publishes. It is not advertised on their pricing or features page - which is evidence about their marketing, not proof the capability cannot exist somewhere in the product. | SEO / content pipeline: brief to draft to publish to measure Partial. Brief, cluster, microcontent, QA, guardrails and optimiser stages are live. The dedicated on-page SEO engine and local service-by-location SEO are still queued (row 1002), so this row is stated as partial rather than built. | ◐ Partial | — Not advertised Listings optimisation and social content are advertised; a keyword-to-brief-to-draft-to-measure content pipeline is not. We mark this from what the vendor publishes. It is not advertised on their pricing or features page - which is evidence about their marketing, not proof the capability cannot exist somewhere in the product. | Reputation that ASKS for reviews, not just monitors them NOT SHIPPED. RSC monitors and triages reputation today; it does not yet send review requests. Review generation is a queued row, not a live feature - we will not sell it as one. | ✗ Not shipped yet | ✓ Has it Review management across 200+ sites is the advertised core of the product. This is a capability they have and RSC does not. Source: Birdeye pricing page · verified 2026-09-03 |
| AI-visibility / AEO citation tracking (ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews) Partial. Answer-engine analysis and cited-source mining are live; full share-of-voice and citation tracking are still being built. | ◐ Partial | ◐ Partial They advertise Search AI integration across Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity. How deep the citation tracking goes is not something the pricing page settles. Source: Birdeye pricing page · verified 2026-09-03 |
| Analytics that label their own trust state (is this number current? is the source connected?) Built. Every metric carries its source and freshness state, and a disconnected or stale source is shown as such rather than rendered as a confident zero. | ✓ Built | ◐ Partial Analytics, reporting and sentiment analysis are advertised. Whether metrics label their own freshness and source state is not addressed on the page. Source: Birdeye pricing page · verified 2026-09-03 |
| Visibility-gap / competitor intelligence engine Partial. Competitor observation and gap rows exist; the predictive expected-vs-observed engine is still in build (row 1129). | ◐ Partial | — Not advertised No competitor-intelligence engine appears among their advertised capabilities. We mark this from what the vendor publishes. It is not advertised on their pricing or features page - which is evidence about their marketing, not proof the capability cannot exist somewhere in the product. | Vertical App Packs on one substrate (therapy / legal / photography) Partial. The pack architecture and pricing are adopted and the therapy and legal packs are in build with a design partner; not all packs are live. | ◐ Partial | ◐ Partial Packaged for multi-location local businesses rather than as per-vertical workflow packs. Published pricing, both sides
| Tier | Price | Unit / terms | Verification |
|---|---|---|---|
| Birdeye — All tiers (by location count) | quote-only | quote only | |
| RSC Suite — Core + Growth pack | $80 | per user / month, billed annually | official |
Birdeye's pricing page shows tiers banded by location count - 1-3, 4-9, 10-39, 40-249, 250-999 and 1000+ - but publishes no prices; a contact form is required to get one. Read on 2026-09-03. We will not invent a number for a vendor that does not publish one.
RSC prices per user. Most of the products on this page price per account for a single user, so a solo business and a five-person team produce very different arithmetic on both sides. Compare at your own seat count, not ours.
How switching works
Birdeye is usually run alongside a CRM rather than as one, so the practical move is consolidating tools rather than migrating a client database.
Where RSC is behind Birdeye, or has not built it yet
Every comparison page on this site carries this section. If we only ever listed our own advantages you would have no reason to believe the rest of the page.
- Birdeye asks for reviews and RSC does not. Ours monitors reputation; theirs generates it. On the single capability this page is about, they are ahead of us and we are not going to blur that.
- Their review-site network is far wider than anything RSC integrates with.
- RSC is younger and pre-launch, and Birdeye is an established product with multi-location deployments.
- Our AI-visibility and competitor-intelligence engines are partly built.

Claims about Birdeye on this page were read from the sources linked beside each row on that date.
3 further capabilities we assessed are NOT shown on this page, because we could not attach a dated public source to them.
We would rather show you less than show you something we cannot evidence.
“Not advertised” means the capability does not appear on the vendor page we cite, on the date we cite it. That is evidence about what they publish — it is not proof the capability does not exist somewhere in their product.
